| Olean Portal : New Olean Area Custom Search Engine now available |

In cooperation with Google, OleanInfo.com is developing an Olean Area search engine. We have entered over 360 web sites and pages from websites that focus on the Olean/Allegany & Portville areas. Are we missing any critical sites?
It is now available for testing. Please give it a try and see how it does returning results for the Olean, Allegany, Portville area in any topic in which you are interested.
You should move to the search field on the left column of this page that is titled: Search Olean Area Websites and give it a try. Let us know if you are happy with the results by sending an email to: mike@blumenthals.com.

The calendar says its spring but as I walked down North Union Street and felt the sting of a blustery snow in my face I had my doubts.
To dispel those doubts I decided to banish the wintery photos from the front page of OleanInfo and add some warmer shots that are of the spring that I am wishing for rather than the one I have.

The jobs section of our weblinks has always been one of our most visited features. It lists job webpages and searches referring specifically to jobs in the Olean area.

We have added a new web links section covering area WebCams. We have found webcams at JCC, Smethport & Andover and of course our own of Downtown Olean.
Take a look at the webcams by going to the WebCam Weblinks section of our site.
We have created a quick link in the local web resources area menu on the left of every page.
If you know of more area webcams, please submit them to the weblinks section or email us.

2004 was a very good year for OleanInfo.com and our readership continued to grow. We were visited by over 92,000 visitors during 2004. December was a record month with over 11,700 visitors reading 48461 pages. Our new webcam of Downtown Olean has been viewed over 1000 times since its introduction less than a month ago and we have published over 200 articles over the course of the year.
Why are we giving you these facts and figures?
Two reasons....
1)We want to thank you for a successful year and
2)We want to do better in the coming year. Our success is very dependent on our readers. We would encourage you to post your news, events, web links and photos that would be of interest to the greater community of Olean, Allegany and Portville.
