To coincide with the new Incentives For Businesses To Open Shop program we have created several new downtown Olean virtual tours.
This new tour shows First Baptist Church & Lincoln Park Office Center from South Union St.
To view more virtual tours of the downtown area, read on.....
Our newest Downtown Virtual Tour takes into view the new clock tower in front of the First Tier Bank, what used to be the Olean House, the Beef 'n Barrel, the new Ask Design Jewelers and Karol's Kitchen. This is about where great crowds of teens would gather each day after school in the 50's and 60's.
Take a spin around downtown.
The view of Mt. Herman and the Allegheny River frames the southern edge of our downtown. As kids we all played at Franchot park and often splashed through the river or fished for carp off of the bridge.
Take this tour of the view from the South Union Street Bridge and the Allegheny River.
The view from State and Union in Olean, New York has not changed much over the years. Take this tour where you can see the mural on the City Building, Lincoln Park, the Post Office and the Manny Hanny Building.

Some things stay the same and others change a lot. Take a look at our newest Downtown Olean Virtual Tour of the area at the corner of Laurens and North Union St.

While the view from State and Union may not have changed much, the view from Sullivan Street and N. Union has been radically altered. Olean Business Institute looks much the same (although it has a new, enthusiastic owner, Jennifer Madison). But the old Palace Theater and the Shaffer Building have been replaced with a drug store and the old Olean Hotel is becoming the new JCC.

Here is a revised downtown tour that updates the view of Olean Business Institue and JCC's new campus: Olean Business Institute & JCC from North Union Street
And here is a view of North Union Street from in front of the Olean Center Mall: Olean Center Mall from North Union Street
