We are in the last few days of fall and they have been beautiful. I figured that I needed to post the last fall virtual tour before it was too late and we were covered by snow.

Fall can be magical in the Olean area if the stars are aligned just right. And this Columbus Day weekend they have been. It has been spectacular.
The nights have been cold (we had our first hard frost) with a just past full moon and the days crystal clear. The sun cuts through the air with a dazzle that almost blinds. It has made for beautful fall foliage and beautiful scenery in general.

The beautiful Indian Summer finally departed and brought a week of rain, clouds and cool weather to the Allegany area. Despite the clouds or perhaps because of them one can still find beauty in the country side outside of Allegany.

2004 provided a spectacular fall, with the sun shining almost every day since Labor Day. It almost has made up for the "damp" summer.
